Your busiest Google Form™ never fills up.
And nothing is ever lost.
Form Keeper copies every response into an archive sheet you own, checks each copy, then clears old responses from the form on your schedule. Hall passes, sign-ins, daily checklists: the form keeps working, and the full history stays in one place.
Google Forms™ now has hard limits. Busy forms hit them.
From Google's own help page, checked October 20, 2026. A school hall-pass form with 1,000 uses a day reaches 100,000 responses in about three months.
| Responses in one form | What happens |
|---|---|
| 10,000 | Individual responses can no longer be viewed one by one. |
| 50,000 | The summary of responses stops loading. |
| 100,000 | Your linked Google Sheets™ spreadsheet may stop updating, without any warning. |
| 500,000 or 1 GB | The form stops accepting responses (new from September 2026). |
| Company forms already over the limit | Google exports the responses and then deletes them after March 2027. |
Google's own fix is "download and delete existing responses." On a big form, Google's screen can only delete all of them at once. Form Keeper lets you keep the recent ones.
Two minutes to set up. Then it runs by itself.
See where your form stands
Open Form Keeper on any form: it shows your response count, how fast it's growing, and the date it reaches each of Google's limits.
Create the archive
One click makes an archive sheet in your Google Drive™ and copies every response already in the form. New and edited responses reach it within about a minute.
Choose what stays
Keep the last 5,000 responses, or the last 90 days, or clear everything that's archived. By hand, or every night, week or month, or when the form reaches a number you pick.
Nothing is cleared until its copy is proven.
Checked before cleared
Every response is matched in the archive by its ID, time and answers before it leaves the form. If anything doesn't match, it stays in the form and you're told.
Edits update in place
When someone edits their response, the archive updates that same row. No duplicates.
Columns stay lined up
Add, rename or reorder questions over the years and every answer still lands in the right column.
Never fails quietly
A short daily summary of what was archived and cleared. If anything is held back, or automatic clearing goes quiet, we email you.
Your archive is yours
It's a normal Google Sheets™ spreadsheet in your Google Drive™. Remove Form Keeper and the archive stays exactly where it is.
No sign-up
Install it and it works. No account to create and no card for the free plan.
We ask for only what it needs. Nothing more.
Google shows you a permission screen when you install. Here is every permission on it, in plain words. We picked the narrowest version Google offers for each one.
| Permission | What we use it for | Google's name |
|---|---|---|
| See and manage only the form you open it in | Reads that form's responses to copy them, and clears the ones your rule picks after their copies are checked. It cannot open any of your other forms. | forms.currentonly |
| See and edit only the files it creates or you pick | Creates your archive sheet and writes responses into it. It cannot see anything else in your Google Drive™. | drive.file |
| Show a panel in Google Forms™ | To display Form Keeper's panel. | script.container.ui |
| Connect to an outside service | Only to our own license server, to check your plan and send counts (how many were cleared, when it last ran). Never the responses themselves. | script.external_request |
| Run when you're not there | Only if you turn them on: one trigger that copies each new response, and one for your clearing schedule, for that form. | script.scriptapp |
| See your email address | To know which plan is yours, and where to send the alarm if automatic clearing stops. | openid · userinfo.email |
What we never ask for
No access to your Gmail™, contacts, other forms, or the rest of your Google Drive™. The copying, checking and clearing all run inside your own Google account.
Free for one form. One price for all of them.
The free plan has no time limit. Paid plans unlock within seconds of paying, and if they don't, you get a full refund.
| What you get | Free | Paid |
|---|---|---|
| Health meter and the dates you'll reach each limit | Every form | Every form |
| Archive sheet and Clear now by hand | Every form | Every form |
| New responses copied automatically | 1 form | Every form |
| Clearing on a schedule | 1 form | Every form |
Your free form can move to a different form once every 30 days. Cancel a paid plan any time from Form Keeper's "Manage billing" button. Not happy? Email us within 14 days of a charge for a refund. Details in our terms.
Your responses never touch our server.
Copying, checking and clearing run inside your own Google account. Our server only knows your email address, your plan, which form is your free one (stored as a coded fingerprint, never its address) and whether automatic clearing is checking in. It never sees a single response, and we never sell anything.
