Google Forms™ summary of responses not loading? It's probably the 50,000 limit
Updated October 20, 2026
On a busy Google Forms™ form, the charts on the Summary tab can stop appearing. Google's Google's help page explains: if you don't find the response summary, it can be because the form has more than 50,000 responses. At 10,000 responses, the Question and Individual views can also disappear.
Getting the summary back
The summary returns when the form has fewer responses. That means moving older responses somewhere else and clearing them from the form:
- Download a CSV of all responses, or keep a complete archive spreadsheet.
- Confirm the archive has every response you're about to remove.
- Delete the older responses from the form.
If you need charts on all your data
Build them in the archive spreadsheet instead of the form. A pivot table or chart in Google Sheets™ works on any number of rows the sheet can hold, and doesn't depend on the form's summary.
Form Keeper keeps that archive up to date automatically and clears old responses on your schedule, so the form's own summary keeps working.
See exactly where your form stands
Form Keeper's free health meter shows your response count, how fast it's growing, and the date your form reaches each of Google's limits. It can also archive every response to a sheet you own and clear old ones on a schedule, without losing anything. Learn about Form Keeper.
