Rate Raiser Terms of Service
Effective October 25, 2026
These terms cover your use of Rate Raiser, an app for Jobber made by Coding Friend LLC ("we", "us"). "You" means the business that connects its Jobber account. By connecting Rate Raiser to your Jobber account, you agree to these terms.
The service
Rate Raiser reads the recurring jobs in your Jobber account and, following the rule you set, works out new prices and shows you a preview. When you schedule an increase, it emails the clients in it the notice you turned on, and on the date you chose it changes the prices on those jobs in Jobber. It keeps the earlier price on visits dated before that date and checks the result. You can cancel a scheduled increase, or undo one that was applied. It runs on our servers and acts in your Jobber account only through the access you grant when you connect it.
You decide every change
- Nothing changes in Jobber until you schedule an increase, and only on the jobs you leave ticked in the preview.
- You choose the amount, rounding, limits, which clients and services are included, the start date and whether and when clients are notified.
- You can change any price directly in Jobber at any time. Undo only puts back prices that still show the amount we set.
Your responsibility
Rate Raiser is software. Nothing in it is legal, tax or financial advice. You are solely responsible for whether, when and by how much you raise prices, and for making sure each increase and its notice comply with your agreements with your clients (for example, required notice periods or fixed-price contracts) and with the laws that apply to you.
Your clients
Rate Raiser emails a client only about a price increase that includes them, and only the messages you turn on: the notice before new prices start, and a note if you cancel or undo an increase they were told about. Emails are sent in your business's name, replies go to you, and you receive a copy. Rate Raiser never collects or moves money. You confirm that you may email your clients about their service. Your relationship with your clients, including any dispute about prices, is between you and them.
Accuracy
Rate Raiser checks every changed job and shows anything that didn't come out as expected. Jobber is a third-party service we do not control; if Jobber is unavailable or changes how it works, an increase may run late, partly, or not at all. Please review the results shown after each increase.
Free trial, plans and billing
Every new account gets a 14-day free trial with all features. After the trial, scheduled increases don't run until you subscribe. The paid plan is $9 a month or $90 a year, charged through our payment processor, Stripe, and renews until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from "Manage billing" in Rate Raiser; your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. We may change prices for future periods and will tell you by email at least 30 days before a change affects you.
Refunds
If your plan doesn't switch on after you pay, we refund you in full. For anything else, email us within 14 days of a charge and we will refund it if Rate Raiser did not work for you.
Availability
We work to keep Rate Raiser running and to fix problems quickly, but it is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows: we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost revenue or profits; and our total liability for all claims relating to Rate Raiser is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim.
Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify Coding Friend LLC against any claim, fine or demand by your clients, a government agency or anyone else that arises from the prices or notices you chose, or from your use of Rate Raiser in breach of these terms or the law.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do; for changes that matter, we will also email you. You can stop using Rate Raiser at any time by disconnecting it, from Rate Raiser or from Jobber. Prices already changed in Jobber stay as they are. We may suspend an account that uses Rate Raiser unlawfully or abusively.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
