Paid Sooner Privacy Policy

Coding Friend LLC ("we") makes Paid Sooner, an app for Jobber. This policy explains what data it uses and why. The short version: we read your invoices to find overdue ones, we email your clients only about their invoices, and only the messages you turn on (late-fee invoices, friendly reminders before a fee, and a note when you waive a fee), we keep a small record of the late fees we handle, and we delete everything 30 days after you disconnect.

Access we request from Jobber

When you connect Paid Sooner, Jobber asks you to approve these permissions. We ask for nothing more:

• Clients (read): to see each client's name, email address, whether Jobber marks them as a business, and their tags, so late fees go only to the clients your rules include and reach the right inbox.
• Invoices (read and write): to find overdue invoices and read their due date, status and unpaid balance; to create and void Paid Sooner's own late-fee invoices; and, only if you turn on early-pay discounts, to set or remove a discount on an invoice. We never change any other part of your invoices.
• Users (read): to get the account owner's email address, so we can send you fee approvals and important notices.

What we store

• Your Jobber account: the account ID, business name, the state in your company details, the account owner's email, and the access tokens Jobber issues so Paid Sooner can act for you.
• Your settings: the late-fee rules you choose, and when you confirmed that your clients agreed to your late-fee policy (with the policy wording at that time).
• Late fees we handle: for each fee, the original invoice's ID and number, the late-fee invoice's ID and number, the client's name, the amount, the email address we sent it to, and what happened to it (proposed, sent, paid, skipped, voided) with dates.
• Reminders and early payments: which invoices got a reminder or an early-pay discount, and when and for how much they were paid, so we can show your results.
• Billing: your plan and the Stripe customer and subscription IDs that go with it. Stripe handles card details; we never see or store them.
• Activity logs: short records of connections, setting changes, fee actions and errors, kept to troubleshoot problems and to show you your history.

While checking invoices, Paid Sooner also reads each invoice's line items, totals and dates and each client's business flag and tags. These are used for that check and not stored, apart from the fee records above.

How we use it

Only to provide Paid Sooner: finding overdue invoices, creating the late-fee invoices your rules call for and emailing them to the client, sending the friendly reminders and waiver notes you turn on (always in your business's name, with replies going to you), applying the early-pay discount if you turn it on, showing your results, emailing you when fees are waiting for approval and a weekly summary, billing, and answering support requests. We never email your clients anything else, and never anything promotional. We do not sell data, show ads, or use your data to market to anyone, and we do not use it to train AI models.

Who we share it with

Only the services that run Paid Sooner: Jobber (where your data already lives), Stripe (payments), our email delivery provider (to send you emails), and our hosting provider (to run our servers). We share data with anyone else only if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while Paid Sooner is connected. When you disconnect it in Jobber, we delete your access tokens immediately and delete everything else we stored about your account 30 days later. Stripe keeps payment records as required by law. You can ask us to delete your data sooner by emailing us.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Our servers are accessible only to us. Jobber's notifications to Paid Sooner are verified with a signature before we act on them.

Your choices

You can change your settings at any time, remove any late fee in Jobber, disconnect Paid Sooner from your Jobber account, or email us to see or delete your data.

Changes

We will update this policy if what we collect changes, and change the date above. If a change matters, we will email you before it takes effect.
