Never Lose Tabs Privacy Policy

Effective October 25, 2026

Coding Friend LLC ("we") makes Never Lose Tabs, an extension for Google Chrome. The short version: your saved tabs stay on your own computer. We never receive, see or sell what you browse.

What the extension handles, and where it stays

  • Your open tabs: the web address, page title, pinned state, tab group and window position of the tabs you have open, so it can save and restore them. This is stored only in your browser on your computer.
  • Backup files: the extension writes backup files of your saved tabs to your Downloads folder (Downloads/NeverLoseTabs). They are ordinary files on your computer; you can open, move or delete them.
  • Search and AI features: run entirely on your computer. Where available, they use Chrome's built-in AI model, which also runs on your computer. Nothing is sent to us or to any AI service.

The extension does not send your tabs, browsing history or backups anywhere. It contains no analytics, tracking or ads.

Permissions the extension asks for

  • Tabs and tab groups: to read and reopen your tabs and groups.
  • Storage: to keep your saved tabs on your computer.
  • Downloads: to write your backup files and clean up old ones the extension created.
  • Alarms: to run the hourly backup, the daily cleanup and the weekly restore test.
  • Display information: to put restored windows back on a screen that is still connected.
  • Favicons: to show each page's icon in your list.

If you buy Pro

Payment is handled by Stripe. Stripe tells us your email address and the payment ID, and we store them so we can deliver your license key and re-send it if you lose it. We use your email only for that, and to answer you if you write to us. We do not receive your card details. Your key is checked on your computer; the extension does not contact us to check it.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling the extension removes the data stored in your browser. Your backup files remain in your Downloads folder until you delete them. To have your purchase record deleted, email support@codingfriendllc.com.

Children

Never Lose Tabs is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
