Calendar Autopilot Privacy Policy
Effective October 26, 2026
Coding Friend LLC ("we") makes Calendar Autopilot, an add-on for Google Sheets™. This policy explains what data it uses and why. The short version: the add-on does its work inside your own Google account, and the contents of your sheets, calendars and forms never reach our servers.
What the add-on uses inside your Google account
To do its job, the add-on reads and writes data in your Google account, using only the features you turn on:
- Google Sheets™: the sheet you open the add-on in. It reads the columns you choose (such as dates, titles and locations) and writes a status column and a hidden link between each row and its calendar event.
- Google Calendar™: the calendars you pick. It creates, updates and deletes the events that belong to your sheet's rows, and, if you turn on Calendar → Sheet, reads those same events (found by a private tag the add-on puts on them) to bring changes made in Calendar back into their rows. It never reads your other events.
- Gmail™ (Date reminders only, coming soon; not requested today): will send the reminder emails you set up, from your own account, to the addresses you choose.
- Google Forms™ (Form → Calendar only, coming soon; not requested today): will read new answers to the form you link.
This work runs in Google's systems under your account. We cannot see it.
Permissions we request
We request the narrowest Google permissions that let the add-on work, and nothing more:
- spreadsheets.currentonly: See and edit only the spreadsheet you open it in. Reads the columns you choose and writes the status column. It cannot open any of your other spreadsheets or files.
- calendar.events.owned: Manage events on calendars you own. Creates, updates and removes the events that belong to your rows. Google's permission covers calendars you own; the add-on only ever looks up events carrying its own hidden tag, so your other events are never read or changed.
- calendar.calendarlist.readonly: See the list of your calendars. Only to fill the calendar picker with names. This permission cannot read any events.
- script.container.ui: Show a sidebar in Google Sheets™. To display the add-on's panel.
- script.external_request: Connect to an outside service. Only to our own license server, to check your plan and send sync health counts. Never the contents of your sheet or calendar.
- script.scriptapp: Run when you're not there. Only if you turn on automatic sync: one trigger for edits and one hourly check, for that spreadsheet.
- openid · userinfo.email: See your email address. To know which plan is yours, and where to send the alarm if automatic sync stops.
We do not request access to Gmail™, Google Drive™, contacts, other spreadsheets, or calendars you do not own. Any new permission a future feature needs will be listed here before it is used, and Google will ask for your consent.
What we store on our servers
- Your Google account email and Google account ID, so we know which plan is yours.
- Your plan: which features you have paid for, and the Stripe customer and subscription IDs that go with your payment. Stripe handles card details; we never see or store them.
- Sync health check-ins: for each sheet with automatic sync, an ID for that sheet, when it last checked in, counts of successful and failed runs, and a short error message (such as "calendar access was removed"). These let us email you if automatic sync stops.
- Activity logs: short records of license checks, payments and errors, kept to troubleshoot problems.
We do not store the contents of your sheets, calendars, emails or forms.
How we use it
Only to provide the add-on: unlocking the features you pay for, warning you by email when automatic sync stops, and answering support requests. We do not sell data, show ads, or use it to market to anyone.
Google user data
Calendar Autopilot's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data to train AI models, and no person at Coding Friend reads it unless you ask us to for support, it is needed for security, or the law requires it.
Who we share, transfer or disclose Google user data to
We do not sell Google user data, and we never share, transfer or disclose it for advertising, marketing, data brokering, credit decisions or AI training. The contents of your sheets and calendars stay in your Google account and are never sent to us or to anyone else.
We share Google user data only with these service providers, only what each needs to do its job for you, and under contracts that limit them to providing that service:
- Stripe (payments): your Google account email address, when you choose to upgrade, so Stripe can send your receipt and link the payment to your plan.
- Hostinger (hosting): stores the data listed under "What we store on our servers" (your Google account email and ID, plan, sheet IDs and sync health counts) on the server that runs our license service.
- Brevo (email delivery): your Google account email address and the details of the alarm, only to deliver the email that tells you automatic sync stopped.
We will also disclose Google user data if the law requires it (for example, a valid court order), to protect against fraud or abuse, or, with this policy still applying, if Coding Friend LLC is merged or sold. We share Google user data with no one else.
How long we keep it
While you use the add-on. If you remove it, sync check-ins for your sheets are deleted within 30 days. Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored on access-restricted servers.
Your rights and how to use them
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal data we hold about you, get a copy of it, correct it, have it deleted, and object to or restrict how we use it. Email support@codingfriendllc.com to use any of these rights. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we respond within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
You can remove the add-on's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and say so in the add-on before the change takes effect.
